Subconscious Can Can Cult

"FUN" The subconscious mind is amusing. Let it run amok. Let it make lots of mistakes. That is reality.   For many years, the enigmatic and oft-misunderstood Subconscious Can Can Cult has lain silently behind obscure scrims of shadow and insanity. With musical detours ranging from art installations and video projects to uniquely entrapping sounds created on the most "primitive" of instruments, they manipulate and expand the realms of experimental music.   In their long-awaited debut album, FUN, co-produced by Baby Rhino Press and Trip Records, band leader Tuber takes us on a twisted and tipsy ride through life, down through the environmental sounds that warp and mold our inner selves and deeper still into that same mysterious self - dreams of cotton candy commercialism become true nightmare.   To accompany the album, Baby Rhino Press is working on FUN - The Book. It's a collection of words, thoughts, images, tales and more from the slightly twisted, yet happily demented, minds behind Subconscious Can Can Cult. ABC - What's This I See?

Picture Books for the Mind   Danny Evarts has long been tortured by odd little visions. Many of these have appeared on album covers, in the pages of zines such as Queer Nasty, and in comics ("Daddy Donnie" & "King Baby Komix" are two of his).   These visions, however, never cease to torment him, and so flow onto paper at a maddening rate. Sometimes they even make sense. Two upcoming books take advantage of these oddities, and present them for your viewing pleasure.   First: A Twisted little colouring book, making use of a few of the hundreds of Danny's pen and ink drawings that have been lying around - his answer to the traditional artist portfolio so many have called for.   Second: ABC and 123 - A picture alphabet and number book. Always with an urge to be drawing, but looking for a point to the pictures, Danny decided to draw up his own alphabet. The result truly makes one letter worth a thousand words. Now he's mentioned a possible series of books for various other alphabets.
